BigFix® Proactive Technical Support
Question:
Why is BigFix no longer supported on my eMachines computer as of April 30, 2009?

Answer:
For many years BigFix and eMachines have partnered to provide BigFix technology on computers to help provide fixlets for eMachines. Unfortunately, BigFix and eMachines have not chosen to renew their business partnership and therefore BigFix will no longer be provided on eMachines computers after April 30, 2009. Additionally, there will be no more updates for BigFix on existing eMachines computers after April 30, 2009 and therefore eMachines is recommending that you uninstall BigFix from your computers. This can be done via the fixlet you see in BigFix or you can use Add/Remove Programs in Windows XP or Uninstall or change a program in Windows Vista.

 
End-User Replaceable Parts Program (EURPP)
This innovative program gives you a fast and easy way of solving your computer problem. If your Customer Care representative concludes that your equipment needs a new part, it will be shipped to your door along with simple, step-by-step instructions on how to replace the defective part.

Depot Repair
If you are not comfortable replacing defective parts on your own, our Depot Repair team is at your service. A Customer Care representative will help you determine the problem and issue you a return merchandise authorization (RMA). Then, simply ship your unit to our repair facility and we'll restore it to working order and deliver it back to your home or business.

Authorized Service Centers
We are proud to offer a nationwide network of Authorized Service Centers, giving you convenient access to expert repair services. Simply take your in-warranty unit to your nearest Authorized Service Center for diagnosis and repair and then pick it up when it is ready.

Please Note: Authorized Service Center repairs are only available for desktop PCs.
